The Morning After …

Is it over yet?
I bet Chris Brown woke up this morning wishing there was a morning after pill to make the sting hurt a little less. Boy oh boy did Rihanna lay it on the line last night and toss this dude straight under the bus (I know you read this and say, “so what, look what he did to her face”). There was NO love lost what so ever in the interview. She wrote this dude off as if he doesn’t even exist. She took jabs at his apology video, “it looked like he was reading from a teleprompter” and said “I didn’t hear it” in reference to Chris Brown’s “Changed Man” track. Quite the opposite of the fifty-leven interviews Chris Brown has done, proclaiming his continued love and his commitment to silence about the incident, forever known to me as BreezyGate, back in February.
Prior to the Rihanna 20/20 full interview, Chris Brown’s camp tried to get ahead of the 10pm show and released the following statement:
“While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”
As we know, MTV also aired a pre-taped interview with Chris Brown that they so cleverly called “Chris Brown: The Interview” a few hours prior to the 20/20 special. Chris Brown for months dodge the big question and Rihanna laid it all out, sitting up there with her Sharon Stone Basic Instinct dress (don’t act like you didn’t notice it).
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah … Is this story OVER yet? *Yawn* We’ve heard both sides of the story. We’ve heard her side, his side (again and again with no answers) and unless God plans on doing an interview with the complete truth, then this story IS OVER!
Tha Lady Blogga put it well over at TCU’s partner site, The Mad Bloggers, when she wrote:
Because of their power amongst the young community, RiRi and CB should have come out a long time ago to discuss their situation. There are a lot of young people in abusive relationships and need to recognize that. Abusive relationships are hard for young people to identify so perhaps they should have done some PSA’s or motivational panels to help with that. Instead, they ran around ducking and hiding, jet-skiing with Diddy and making a mockery out of themselves. I mean really, what is coming out now going to do. People are still pointing fingers and placing the blame. Good Morning America and 20/20 are squeezing blood from a stone having that heifer on TV for 2 days talking about this thing. She’s the victim, he’s the victimizer. Okay, we get it.
Like Tha Lady Blogga said, they could be great spokes people for domestic violence but right now it’s just being exploited. So, at the end of the mutha effn day this Rihanna and Chris Brown story is in over kill mode, much like the Taylor Swift and Kanye West incident (insert SNL’s attempt to be relevant and infuse 44534545434231134522145 Kanye West jokes into tonight’s show that she’s hosting). The only story that the American people shouldn’t be let go is Lil Mama jumping her untalented ass up on stage. That still makes my heart and soul hurt *reaches for blood pressure medicine*
I digress … honestly, it’s time to really let these kids (Rihanna and Chris) learn, live and build from this tragic time in their lives. Let them get back to their careers and rocking barbed wire and leggings on album covers. God speed.
There, I’ve said my peace.

I totally kept thinking that. I wanted her to look at the camera and say “what are you going to arrest me for? beastality with a beaver?” but she did not.
